... and a donkey

Not my donkey.   Of all the beasts and birdies I have experience with,  a donkey is not one of them.   However,   that is nothing to worry about,  as according to this  amazing story here:   A Seaside Donkey  it all comes together eventually.

What I am talking about is a 1000 mile walk around Wales with a Donkey.  It looks like something I must do.  Or, something similar but maybe easier? or more local.   I am not sure yet,  but after reading about Hannah and Chico in Wales,   I am intrigued, to say the least.

Besides wishfully planning donkey treks,  I have been knitting, trying to finish up some WIPs before the irresistible urge to cast on something new hits again.

Albers Cowl  -  This is the second one I have knit,  and probably not the last either.   Its a wonderful way to use up a variety of left over yarn.   Ann Weaver, the shawl's designer,  was inspired by Josef Albers' Homage to the Square paintings.

Mini Mania Scarf  - I am  enjoying every stitch of this, and now its more of a shawl than a scarf.  Many of the ladies in the knitting group I belong to are also making a Mini Mania: its an epidemic!  Everyone's is different,  which is fascinating, considering we are all following the same pattern and sharing some of our various colours of yarn left overs.

Shop News:     So far, we have been enjoying creating items for,  and getting ideas for our shop, but haven't really said much about it.     Our Grand Opening will be on the day of the  Spring Equinox.  Between now and then,  you will see more and more things added to the shop.  We will even have a contest here on the blog...  stay tuned.

And that as they say is that.
